I discovered Darby Hudson's work on TikTok, and was so glad I could add his poetry to my shelf. His writing is by turns kind, bleak, funny, moving, hopeful, and meticulous. I've rarely found a poet that so perfectly maps the indignities and freedoms of trying to find a meaningful existence within a world that so often rewards psychic self-immolation. Just the right voice for the right time in life. Also, shipped very fast from Australia.

I got the big bundle for my birthday . I spoke with Darby on the Upfield line maybe ten years ago. One of those conversations that you remember . Imagine my surprise when I see him on TikTok a decade later and he is a real poet.
